17 of our Junior Members with parents and guardians attended the event with all the Juniors taking part in the Fun Day Match. This was a great opportunity for the youngsters who haven’t done so before to experience the taking part in a match from the peg draw to the weigh in at the end all with the help of parents, guardians, and club coaches. There were some great prizes consisting of 6m Maver poles for 2^nd and 3^rd place and a Colmic Seat Box for 1^st place. With all the match participants receiving a Certificate to commemorate their taking part. It was a great get together with food and drink available and the opportunity to win prizes in the Tombola and to purchase good donated second-hand tackle both for the benefit of the wonderful Claire House Children’s Hospice. Following the success of this event we hope to arrange similar and other events in the future to help our younger members who wish to learn more and further develop their fishing.
